Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 20 June 2026 (Private Beta Launch)
Version: 1.0 — April 2026
1. Who We Are
Find My Royalties™ (FMR) is a music royalty intelligence platform operated by Lawrence Eastland trading as Find My Royalties™ (ABN 26 367 663 159), based in Ewingsdale, NSW 2481, Australia.
We are committed to handling your personal information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as amended by the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at: admin@findmyroyalties.com.au | findmyroyalties.com.au
2. What Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Contact Information
When you register or request early access, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your role (artist, label, publisher, or other)
- Your organisation name (if applicable)
2.2 Music Catalogue Data
To provide our service, we process audio recordings you submit. Specifically:
- Audio files are processed using Chromaprint acoustic fingerprinting technology to generate a unique acoustic identity (~200 bytes per track).
- Audio files are deleted within 7 days of processing. Only the acoustic identity is retained — not the audio itself.
- We collect and store associated metadata: track title, artist name, album name, ISRC codes, release dates, and distributor information.
2.3 Usage and Platform Data
We collect information about how you use the FMR platform, including:
- Pages visited, features used, and session duration
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- IP address and approximate location
- Interactions with Opus, our AI assistant
2.4 Communications
If you contact us by email or through the platform, we retain those communications to respond to your enquiry and improve our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide and operate the FMR platform and your royalty intelligence reports
- Generate your Evidence Packet for submission to collecting societies
- Communicate with you about your account, reports, and platform updates
- Improve the accuracy and performance of our platform
- Comply with our legal obligations
- Respond to your enquiries and support requests
4. Automated Processing and AI
FMR uses automated systems to process your music catalogue and identify metadata discrepancies. This includes:
- Acoustic identity generation via Chromaprint — a deterministic technical process that creates a unique identifier for each recording without storing the audio.
- Cross-platform metadata comparison — automated checking of your track data across Spotify, YouTube, TIDAL, MusicBrainz, Discogs, and other sources.
- Opus AI Assistant — powered by Anthropic’s Claude API. Conversations with Opus are processed by Anthropic in accordance with their Privacy Policy (anthropic.com/privacy). Opus does not retain conversation history across sessions.
In accordance with the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024, we disclose that our platform uses automated processes to identify metadata discrepancies that may affect your royalty attributions. These automated findings are presented to you as intelligence reports — final decisions about dispute submissions and corrections remain yours.
